Today the Z...

ran beautifully.

it was just on my way home from work, but it ran perfect today, took the long way home - stopped for gas and at the bank.

i don't know if it was the humidity or the temperature or a combination of both, but today i remembered why i drive and build this thing.

i forgot about how i can't go anywhere with that car, although its my daily driver; i forgot that i'm going homeless building it (if anybody has a room for rent in this area please let me know!); i forgot the fact that it needs so much more work, i forgot that i have to go to my bullshit job every day, i forgot about bills, rent, debt, i forgot about everything, everything but the car.

hopefully in the near future every day will be like this, when i'm financially secure, when the Z is fuel injected, when it has an actual alignment, when i figure out how to keep the police away (maybe a historic car plate?), when i'm building cars as a career...

but for now, today the Z ran beautifully.

Nice. Sounds like poetry. If you get any L28 from a 75' to 83' S30 or S31. They're all fuel injected.

Those are the days that make spending thousands on old cars that others would gladly give away worth it.

Ahh, I drive a carb'd 86 and its the same way. being able to drive it makes it all worth it, even though it sits half the time. its purely soul that keeps these cars going.

I've been waiting to see real shots of your z for a while now, and i'm truly impressed. I wish more people in the southeast could have their priorities straight..

I'll be the first to admit. I have those problems as well. School, bills, etc. etc. Being a college student and having my only daily driver not nearly as cool as yours a stock IS300 :(. But when you and your friends get together or those times like you said you just forget everything when your crusing ... Keep your head up man. Your Z's Super!

In the same boat mate, spent too much on my turbo and stuff, now see the light at the end of the tunnel, but no money left and driving it unmapped is not good.
Sick car BTW! Keep going with your dream, stay positive and life will throw you a good deal trust me :)
